Abstract
PURPOSE:To economize electric power, by using the low pressure switch of a controller to detect the low suction pressur of a compressor to delay its operation by a delaying timer relay connected in series with the low pressure switch, to reduce the operation of the compressor at such low suction pressure that the operation efficiency is poor. CONSTITUTION:The low suction pressure of a compressor 2 is detected by the low pressure switch 6 of a second series circuit 16 to operate a delaying timer relay 15. The delaying timer contact 12 of a first series circuit 14 is then closed to turn on the driving magnet switch 13 of the compressor 2 to operate it. When the low pressure of the compressor 2 has fallen further to the set turn-off level of the low pressure switch 6, the compressor is stopped. When the pressure has thereafter risen to the turn-off level of the switch 6, it is turned on to start the cooling operation of the compressor 2 again after the st time of a delaying timer 17. According to this constitution, the short-cycle operation of the compressor 2 is prevented and its operation at such low suction pressure that the operation efficiency is poor is reduced. For that reason, much electric power is economized.
