Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the strength of the joined section of the subject rotor by a method wherein a helium induction tube and a helium exhaust tube are connected to a heat exchanger through the intermediate of a thick mounting base. CONSTITUTION:The mounting base 20 is joined to the helium gas induction tube 18 and the exhaust tube 19 by performing welding 21. The mounting base 20 is joined to the heat exchanger 21 formed on the torque tube 1 by a welding section 22. The joined section of the mounting base 20 is thickly formed as compared with the thickness of the induction tube 18 and the exhaust tube 19 and the depth of penetration of welding is formed larger as compared with the case where piping is directly joined. As for the shape of the mounting base 20, except the leg length required for the section 22 to join the heat exchanger 12, is formed a little smaller by one step in its diameter, which a reduction in the diameter 23 is provided in the torque tube 1 and the length of the nondeposited part of the welded section on the joined section 22 is made zero.
