Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a rotor for a superconductive rotary machine by welding a torque tube separately prepared to a coil shaft at the part in which a thick part isolated from the stress concentrated part is provided, thereby reducing the stress at the welded part. CONSTITUTION:A torque tube 1 separately prepared is welded to a coil mounting shaft 2. The stress is reduced by isolating the welded part 16 from the stress concentrated part 17 of the coupling part of the torque tube 1 or the shaft 2, and the welding is performed at the thick part 18 in which the thickness is increased higher than the body of the tube 1. Thus, the stress of the welded part 16 can be reduced, and a rotor having high reliability can be obtained.
