Abstract

PURPOSE: To rigidly support a laced track type field winding in a rotor for a superconductive rotary machine by supporting the field winding by a support formed of an auxiliary pole projected between poles and clamping the support rigidly by a torque transmitting member.
CONSTITUTION: This rotor employs a laced track type field winding 3, which is formed by winding a superconductor 1 in laced track on a nonmagnetic container 2 such as stainless steel or the like. A winding support is formed with cross N.S poles 5, 6 and auxiliary poles 7, 8, which are extended as ectensions 9, 10. The winding 3 is superimposed on the poles 7, 8 around the poles 5, 6 of the winding support 4 are centers, and rigidly secured through a wedge 13 by a torque transmitting member 15 consisting of a torque tube 12 and a shaft 14. Thus, the support 4 is rigidly secured to the winding 3 to provide equal rigidities of the support substantially in longitudinal and lateral directions to thereby prevent vibration.
