Abstract

PURPOSE:To limit the flow of an excessive current by providing a voltage detector which detects as detected voltage the summed voltage of a terminal voltage of a resistor in series with a DC motor from the output terminal of a bridge circuit and a reference voltage. CONSTITUTION:Transistors 6, 8 are controlled in response to the differential voltage between the output voltage of a bridge circuit formed of resistors 2-4 and a DC motor 1 and a reference voltage Vref. A voltage detector 14 branches the base current of the transistor 6 when a transistor 17 is conducted ON if the summed voltage of a voltage divided from the output voltage of a constant-voltage circuit 10 for obtaining a reference voltage Vref and a voltage at the point of the detecting terminal a of the bridge circuit is raised. In this manner, it can limit the excessive current flowing through the speed controller.
