Abstract
PURPOSE:To supply a fuel injection valve with a high fuel pressure by providing a capacity type pump which compresses a fuel to a certain level, between a fuel pump and the injection valve. CONSTITUTION:A fuel supply device 16 primarily consists of a diaphragm 20 which boosts the pressure of fuel inside the device and feeds the fuel to an automatic injection valve 18, an electro-magnetic valve 22 which drives the diaphragm 20 and a proportional solenoid 24 which controls a return of a movable shaft of the electro-magnetic valve 22. A fuel pump 28 which supplies fuel from a fuel tank 26 into the diaphragm 20 is connected to the device. A fuel which is discharged from a low pressure pump 28 of a discharge pressure 0.3-0.5kg/cm<2> flows through an opening/closing valve 40 into a diaphragm chamber 30. The fuel is compressed to 4-5kg/cm<2> by the diaphragm 20 which is pushed up by the electro-magnetic valve 22 and then supplied to the automatic injection valve 18 through the opening/closing valve 42.
