Abstract
PURPOSE:To improve the bearing characteristics of each bearing part of a turbine rotor by welded-overlaying a low alloy steel having a specified composition on the bearing part. CONSTITUTION:A turbine rotor used in a turbine for steam power generation is manufactured with a high Cr steel such as 12% Cr steel. A low alloy steel contg. 0.05-0.35% C, 0.10-1.0% Si, 0.10-1.0% Mn, 0.10-2.0% Mo, 0.30-2.80% Cr, 0.05-0.35% V and 0.50-4.0% Ni is weld-overlaid on each bearing part of the rotor. Thus, the bearing characteristics of the bearing part are improved, and the occurrence of seizing is prevented during the rotation of the rotor.
