Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-sensitive recording material having very good water resistance and excellent coloration density, by adding an acrylamide-(metha)acrylic acid derivative copolymer as main binder, a leuco dye, and an acid substance to a heat-sensitive recording layer. CONSTITUTION:A heat-sensitive coloring layer, containing as main components a leuco dye (A) (e.g., 3-pyrrolidino-6-methyl-7-anilinofluoran) and an acid substance (B) (e.g., bisphenol A) together with as main binder an acrylamide- (metha)acrylic acid copolymer (C) having a molar ratio of 1:0.1-0.5, is formed on a support to obtain an objective heat-sensitive recording material.
