CONSTITUTION:Switching of the power supply of a copier control unit is executed by operation of the power supply by an operator, but copy preparatory actions are controlled by switching of the copier control unit composed of a microcomputer 19, a read-only memory 202, a read and write memory 201, etc. When the power supply of the copier is turned on, and a print key is turned on, the suspension time of the copier is compared with the predetermined time. When the former is shorter than the latter, the preparatory actions are omitted, the copying action proper is started at the same time as pushing the key, thus permitting waiting time to be shortened and waste of power and consumption of a photoreceptor to be reduced.
