Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the fluctuations, etc. of source voltage during exposure of original images by inhibiting the start of electricity conduction to a fixing means while an exposure means is in operation. CONSTITUTION:When a copy key is turned on, a relay 55 is turned on by a driver 58 in accordance with the output signal from the output terminal OP2 of a microcomputer 100. A main motor 50 is operated thereby and the respective parts of a copying machine are driven. When the temp. of a fixing device is lower than a prescribed temp., a heater 56-1 is supplied with electricity. A clutch 51 for advancing an optical system is turned on by a driver 59, by which the optical system is advanced. At the same time, a relay 54 is turned on by a driver 57 to light an exposure lamp 16, then the exposure of the original is started. During the execution of the exposure, the supply of electricity to the heater 56-1 is held stopped. Upon ending of the exposure, a relay 53 goes on to start supplying electricity to the heater 56-1.
