Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten a copying time through performing picture exposure at the same time a copy button is turned on by starting the preliminary rotation of a photoreceptor with the mounting operation of an original onto the original placing plate in case of said rotation of the photoreceptor for holding the photoreceptor at a predetermined potential before a picture is formed. CONSTITUTION:An original table 15 is provided on the top surface of a copying machine body 14, and an original to be copied is set there. An original press-contacting plate 16 closed by freely turning around a shaft 17 presses the original against the original placing 15. For this purpose, when the press-contacting plate 16 is closed, a switch 11 turns off and when opened, the microswitch 11 turns on to converts its on state into a pulse signal, which is supplied to the driving source of the a photosensitive drum 1 as a preliminary rotation start signal.
