Abstract
PURPOSE: In preparing MnO2, to obtain high-purity MnO2 in a short time efficiently, by adding ammonium nitrate and MnO2 to manganese nitrate, followed by thermal decomposition.
CONSTITUTION: NH4NO3 and MnO2 powder are added to Mn(NO3)2. 6H2O, and MnO2 is uniformly dispersed. The blend is subjected to thermal decomposition at 210W300°C for 10minW2hr. High-purity MnO2 having extremely low content of Mn2O3, exhibiting improved characteristics as an anode material for cell or an electrode for solid condenser can be prepared in a short time efficiently.
