Abstract

PURPOSE: To easily separate the carbon dioxide component and the oxygen component in a gas by utilizing difference of solubility of the gas into a liquid.
CONSTITUTION: When a mixed gas is introduced into a carbon dioxide.oxygen abosorbing liquid as gas bubbles from the gas outlet side end part 9 of a pipe 3, carbon dioxide and oxygen in the gas bubbles are absorbed in the above described absorbing liquid 1 along with a small amount of nitrogen component and, at the same time, the nitrogen gas is passed through a pipe 6 to be recovered into an original sealed container. After a pipe 7 is held under a water cooling condition by a cooler 8, a gas stopcock 10 is opened toward a direction of the pipe 7 for discharging a carbon dioxide.oxygen base gas as well as a gas stopcock 11 is closed. In this condition, when current is passed through a heater 5 to heat the above described liquid 1, the carbon dioxide gas, the oxygen gas and a small amount of the nitrogen gas are discharged to the outside through the pipe 7. In this case, the vapor of the above described absorbing liquid 1 is generated but cooled by the cooler 8 to be returned to the original absorbing liquid 1.
