Abstract

PURPOSE: To utilize high-temperature soft cooling water by removing the oxygen contained in the water and reproducing it as a less corrosive cooling water by treating the water at the deoxidation equipment which uses nitrogen gas after the water is cooled by air.
CONSTITUTION: High-temperature soft water (d) used as the cooling water at rubber tire factory F, etc., is introduced into cooling tower 1 and bronght into contact with air and cooled by utilizing the evaporation latent heat of water. Since the water becomes highly corrosive water by absorbing the oxygen contained in the air nearly to the saturation level at the time of cooling, the water is sent to deoxidation equipment 2 and the oxygen contained in the water is removed. To remove the oxygen, N2 gas a is blown into the water through nozzle 23 and N2 gas a' is blown into the water as air bubbles through air discharge pipe 22 at deoxidation equipment 2, and the removed oxygen is discharged through vent 25. Low-temperature soft water (e) from which the oxygen has been removed and which is lowered in corrosiveness, is sent back to the factory to be used as a less corrosive cooling water again.
