Abstract

PURPOSE:To achieve communication control with greater flexibility, by operating a frequency selection circuit according to inputted control words and picking up a required timing signal. CONSTITUTION:Control words are stored in a control word register 5 at the initial set of a communication controller. The register 5 instructs a timing signal for internal or external one and speed of communication. The timing signal is selected by comparing the content of the register 5 and control words given from a central control unit, and instruction to a frequency selection circuit 6 is given. The output signal of the circuit 6 is applied to an opposing device as transmission/reception timing signal via a driver 10.
