Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the speed detecting accuracy of a motor by superposing a speed detecting pole cooperated with a speed detecting coil only on the saturated magnetic flux part of a drive pole to magnetize it. CONSTITUTION:A rotor magnet 20 has a drive pole 8 and a speed detecting pole 21, which is superposed only on the saturated magnetic flux part D of the pole 8 and is magnetized thereby. The pole 21 is formed at the same pitch as the pectinated speed detecting coil 12, and is formed on the outer peripheral side of the magnet 20 to face with the coil 12. Since the speed detecting pole is superposed only on the saturated magnetic flux part and is magnetized, the waveforms of the pole thus magnetized become uniform, thereby obtaining a speed detecting signal containing no error. Accordingly, the speed detecting accuracy can be enhanced.
