PURPOSE:To make possible the detection of an ultralow-speed revolution by providing a magnet having plural magnetic poles which rotates in monoblock with a rotary shaft for a rotary machine, a magneto-electric conversion element, an arithmetic operator, etc. CONSTITUTION:A magnet 11 having plural magnetic poles rotates in monoblock with a rotary machine 10. An inductance element 12 and a magneto-electric conversion element 13 are under the magnetic field of the magnet 11 and are arranged at a prearranged interval alpha with the magnet 11. The output signal of the inductance element 12 turns to a signal V2 through an amplifier 14 and the output signal of the magneto-electric conversion element 13 turns to a signal V1 through an amplifier 15. The signals V1 and V2 turn to what is called V0 through a divider 16. Then the signal V0 drives a rotary speed indicator 18 through a DC amplifier 17. Under this constitution, a ripple in a proportional output value against a rotary speed and a time lag against the said speed can be minimized. Therefore it is possible to detect an ultralow speed rotation.
