Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent accumulation of a contaminated substance in a liquid tank, and to increase a mechanical strength of a flocculating device, by providing a liquid lead-in port in the vicinity of one end of a flocculating tank body, also providing a liquid lead-out port on the lower side in the vicinity of the other end, and proviing an air lead-out port on the upper side in the vicinity of the other end.
CONSTITUTION: When an insulating liquid such as cutting oil containing water content and contaminated particles, etc. is fed into a flocculating device CND from an inflow pipe 11, an alternating electric field operates on the insulating liquid, and particle size of the contaminated particles in increased. This insulating liquid containing contaminated particles is shifted to other place through an outflow port 8 and an outflow pipe 12. Air contained in the insulating liquid is shifted to other place through an outflow port 9, a branch outflow pipe 13 and the outflow pipe 12. In case when DC voltage is applied to a high votage electrode 4, contaminated particles in the insulating liquid are flocculated in the same way, but in this case, the contaminated particles adhere to the voltage electrode 4, therefore, it is more suitable to apply AC voltage to the high voltage to the high voltage electrode 4.
