Abstract

PURPOSE: To enhance the electroendosmotic dehydrating effect by a method wherein AC voltage with relatively low frequency within an audio frequency range as an electric source for electroendosmosis to carry out the electroendosmotic dehydration and, thereby, the temp. rise of a material to be dehydrated is reduced and the electroendosmotic dehydrating effect is increased.
CONSTITUTION: In a condition interposing a filter material between electrodes as a dielectric material, AC voltage with relatively low frequency of 16kHz or less within an audio frequency range is applied through said filter material to carry out the electroendosmatic dehydration. In AC electrolysis, an electrolyzed amount is extremely reduced as compared to DC electrolysis, for example, from a corroded result of copper; and adverse effects on the electroendosmosis by the electrolysis are improved to a large extent. Moreover, the dipole polarization due to the dipole rotation is not almost generated due to the low frequency, and the temp. rise of a material to be dehydrated is reduced and electroendosmosis is advanced.
