Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the reliability of a transmission line, by disconnecting a station from a system, if a failure take places in the station, in a data way where data trasnsmission is made through an optical fiber transmission line. CONSTITUTION:When a station 411 is at normal state, an output of an optical/ electric converter 51a is selectively inputted to a station controller 53 with a switch 52. If a failure takes place in the station 411, the controller 53 knows that the station 411 is in failure by interruption of synchronism. Further, the control section 53 controls the switch 52 with switching so that the output of an optical/ electric converter 51b can be inputted selective from the switch 52. As a result, output information of the station 411 being an output of the converter 51a is inhibited to be inputted to the controller 53. A normal station at the prestage of the station 411 is connected to a station 412 via an optical by-pass 431. Thus, the station 411 in failure is disconnected from the system and the adverse effect on the system by the station 411 in failure can be prevented.
