CONSTITUTION:To both a signal terminal 2 and a comparison terminal 3 of a comparator 1, voltage is applied from the same voltage source. A forward direction electric power source Vd of a diode 11 is used as the same electric power source. As for the comparison terminal 3, voltage is applied through an ATC circuit 7, and as for a resistance for connecting the ATC circuit 7 and voltage -Vd, a variable resistance 9 is used for finely adjusting the potential difference between the signal terminal 2 and the comparison terminal 3, that is to say, a threshold level Vth. Also, the threshold level Vth is made to depend on said Vd only. According to such a constitution, even if the threshold level Vth is made small in case when DC voltage V is large when there is no signal in a signal line 4, the threshold level is stable enough, therefore, a waveform of a small signal is shaped.
