PURPOSE:To obtain an antenna device having high Q for a timepiece incorporating a receiving function, by setting a coil containing a magnetic core having high permeability to the outside of a case and accordingly securing the satisfactory focusing of the magnetic flux. CONSTITUTION:A bar antenna 1 includes a magnetic core 2 made of a material having high mu plus a coil L1 formed by winding an enameled wire, etc. round the core 2. An end of the coil L1 is earthed to the timepiece body, and the other end of the coil is connected to a primary winding L2 of a tuning coil 3 provided inside of the case. The induced voltage ES increases by increasing the effective permeability mualpha as long as the shape of the core 2 is constant. A sufficient value of mualpha is obtained by using the Mn-Zn or Ni-Zn ferrite or an amorphous magnetic matter to form the core 2. As a result, the voltage ES induced at the coil L1 is increased with a small size of the timepiece.
