Abstract

PURPOSE:To engable to improve the fuel consumption rate by providing a means for reducing the pump loss due to a suction negative-pressure at the time of deceleration and a means for recovering energy, in a system for recovering kinetic energy. CONSTITUTION:At the time of deceleration, a solenoid valve 10 is opened by a control unit 11 to introduce the atmospheric air into an intake manifold through an air introducing passage 9, thereby markedly reducing the pump loss at the time of the intake stroke of a piston 2. In addition, since a disk 42 is braked, the revolution of an internal gear 29 driven by a shaft 25 is accelerated through a planetary gear 41 and is transmitted to a sun gear 40. Further, since the revolution is transmitted to a stator core 36 and a coil 37 through a one-way clutch 39, the relative speed of the rotor side and the stator side becomes several times of that in normal condition, resulting in an increase in the amount of power generated. Incidentally, the clutch 39 functions so that the revolution on the stator side is not rapidly slowed down when the deceleration proceeds.
