Abstract

PURPOSE: To save the consumption of a coating by mixing part of the coating leaked out from a pump with a liq. having a lower solid matter content than the coating to prevent solidification and by returning the mixture to the circulation system while maintaining the liq. state.
CONSTITUTION: A coating P leaked out from a pump 10 is received in a trough 19. A liq. consisting of all or part of the components of the coating and having a lower solid matter content than the coating or deionized water is supplied to the trough 19 from a leading pipe 25 to collect the leaked coating P in a container 21 without causing solidification or flocculation. The leaked coating P is mixed with a recovered liq. in the container 21 by agitation with an agitator 27, fed to a subtank 7 with a pump 22, and reused.
