Abstract

PURPOSE: To preserve collected seaweeds in a water tank for a long time, by equipping the water tank of square-shaped plane with a stirring machine consisting of plate blades at the bottom of the tank.
CONSTITUTION: A water tank of polygonal plane such as octagonal plane is charged with seawater at low temperature about 5°C and seaweeds, the revolving shaft 11 is rotated by the motor 10, so the seawater is stirred by the blades 12 set at the bottom. The stirring action is increased by equipping the plate 16 at the upper part of the water tank, and seawater is fed from the seawater pipe 14 having the ball valve 15 to keep the liquid level. The water tank is equipped with the pipe 7 for taking ut the seaweeds at the pit 6 at the bottom of the tank, and with the flexible siphon pipe 5 with the grating 4 on the hollow, to adjust the liquid level. The elastic plate 13 is set at the lower part of the blades 12, to prevent the clogging of the grating 4.
