Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a heat releasing property, heat resistance and an electrically insulating property by anodically oxidizing an Al plate or an Al alloy plate in an aqueous oxalic acid soln. under specified conditions to form an anodic oxide film, impregnating a polymerizable organometallic compound into the micropores of the film or sticking it to the surface, and polymerizing the compound.
CONSTITUTION: An Al plate or an Al alloy plate is anodically oxidized in an aqueous oxalic acid soln. at 20W50°C, 0.5W10A/dm2 current density and 4W 25wt% oxalic acid concn. to form an anodic oxide film. A polymerizable organometallic compound is impregnated into the micropores of the film or stuck to the surface, and it is polymerized. The organometallic compound is a polymerizable compound contg. a hydrolyzable group, a halogen group and an org. functional group bonded to a metallic atom, and phenyltriethoxysilane, methyltriethoxysilane, vinyltris(β-methoxyethoxy)silane or the like is used as the compound. The preferred Al alloy is an Al-Si alloy.
