Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a power steering mechanism suitable for automatic steering operation by enabling a spool valve driven by parallel motion of a pinion shaft to be changed by external signals. CONSTITUTION:A pivot portion 22 of a lever 17 for driving a spool valve is fitted into a supporting hole 24 formed in a collar portion 27 of a guide collar 26. The guide collar 26 has shaft-like guide portion 28 formed both sides thereof for being supported by a case 29 protruded from a main body 4, slidably in the direction parallel to the rack 1. Further, the guide collar 26 is formed with a control rack 30 parallel with the rack 1 in the side thereof opposite to the supporting hole 24. The control rack 30 is meshed with a control pinion 31 which is operated by a motor 33 driven by an automatically steering controller 34.
