Abstract
PURPOSE: To permit one unit to handle several types of works in a shift apparatus for feeding work with an automatic assembly machine or the like.
CONSTITUTION: When driven by a motor, a cam shaft 30a rotates in the direction of the arrow C, a cam lever 36 is oscillated around a shaft 34 with a cam 31 to move a horizontal slide 4 in the direction opposite to A. With the movement of the center of a retaining shaft 5 from i to ii, a drive rod 47 lowers vertically through a cam lever 42 to be actuated by a cam 32. Consequently the retaining shaft 5 lowers vertically and is stopped in contact with a control section 21. Then, opposed pawls 12 and 12 are actuated by a drive source not illustrated to retain the work. Subsequently, the retaining shaft 5 moves up to a given position with the cam 32 and transferred to a position where it comes in contact with a degree determining means 7. Thereafter, the shaft 5 is lowerd until it comes in contact with the control means 21. In this manner, the work is loaded or unladed.
