Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce white skips in a noise band by lowering a head resonance frequency below that in normal reproduction by a variable speed changeover signal in a variable speed mode. CONSTITUTION:Signals reproduced by reproducing heads 1 and 7 are supplied to head resonance circuits 2 and 8. Those head resonance circuits 2 and 8 consist of preamplifiers 2a and 8a and equalizer amplifiers 2b and 8b, and their resonance frequencies are lowered by the output signal of a resonance frequency switching circuit 9.
