Abstract
PURPOSE:To attain a gas shut-off device of high safety by actuating a control device at the time of gas leakage or an earthquake, thereby closing a shut-off valve, and simultaneously issuing an alarm signal. CONSTITUTION:Upon receiving a signal either from a gas-leak detector 3 or a vibration sensor 4, a control device 2 immediately closes the gas shut-off valve 1, and simultaneously issues an alarm signal. Reopening of the gas shut-off valve can be made by manual operation only, with no automatic opening device provided, so that even after the earthquake ceases or gas leakage stops, the system would never automatically start operation again, constituting a completely safe system.
