Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the safety of a gas safety device by providing a detector for detecting the gas supply pressure as an electric signal at the position of the upstream side of a solenoid valve of a gas supply tube, thereby effectively interrupting the gas supply when a malfunction occurs at the supply gas pressure.
CONSTITUTION: A solenoid valve 4 opened by an excitation is provided at the position of the upstream side of the gas supply tube 1 connected through a rubber hose 1a to a gas instrument 3, and a supply gas pressure detector 10 and a residual gas pressure detector 7 are respectively provided at the upstream side and the downstream side of the valve 4. The supply gas pressure detector 10 is so disposed that a magnet 15 is interposed between an upper lead switch 17a and a lower lead switch 17b to turn both switches 17a and 17b OFF when the supply gas prssure is normal and that the magnet 15 is displaced via a diaphragm 12 when the supply gas is abnormally raised or reduced to turn either switch 17a or 17b ON. When either switch 17a or 17b is turned ON, the valve 4 is closed through a control panel 6.
