Abstract
PURPOSE:To shut off immediately the gas supply in case of emegency by connecting a control device and a gas leak sensor via existing electric power line, by which a prescribed signal is sent from the sensor to the control device. CONSTITUTION:This system has a gas shut-off valve 1 installed on gas piping 9 in the neighborhood of a gas inlet and also a gas leak sensor 3 and a vibration sensor 4. The gas leak sensor 3 is connected to the control 2 via electric power line 5 so that the prescribed signal can be transmitted and received between the control 2 and gas leak sensor 3 through the electric power line 5. Also when either of the vibration sensor 4 or the gas leak sensor 3 is actuated, the control 2 functions to close the gas shut-off valve 1 and at the same time issues a warning. When either an earthquake or a gas leak has occurred, the control 2 judges from the action of the vibration sensor 4 or the gas leak sensor 3 that an abnormal condition has occurred and immediately acts to close the gas shut- off valve 1.
