Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise the reliability and safety of a burner as a whole by checking up a pressure sensor before a checking up of a fuel feeding and stopping valve.
CONSTITUTION: Electromagnetic valves 2 and 3 driven by driving signals 4 and 5 respectively through driving circuits 6 and 7 are provided in a fuel supply pipe 1, while a pressure sensor 8 being provided between them. When the electromagnetic valves 2 and 3 are checked up at the time of stoppage of combustion operation, the pressure expected from the normal actions of these valves is made to be outputted as a normality signal by the pressure sensor 8. With the stoppage of combustion operation, the valves 2 and 3 are closed so that the pressure in the fuel supply pipe 1 becomes the pressure under which an abnormality signal is outputted from the pressure sensor 8, and then the pressure sensor 8 is checked up. And, when the normality signal being given, the sensor 8 is taken to be out of order, while, when the abnormality signal being given, one of the electromagnetic valves 2 and 3 is opened and then closed so that the pressure in the supply pipe 1 becomes the pressure under which the normality signal is outputted from the sensor 8, and then the output of the sensor 8 is checked up.
