Abstract

PURPOSE: To immediately stop an engine when an engine trouble occurs and prevent a damage of the engine by shutting off fuel supply for a fuel regulator by means of a solenoid valve when the operating condition of the engine being monitored is found an expected abnormal condition.
CONSTITUTION: Operating states of an engine such as an acceleration, r.p.m., a suction pressure, and so forth, are detected by a detector 1 in the form of electric signal. Based on the signal, an electric control circuit 2 computes a signal which corresponds to a required fuel amount to be injected for the engine. The control circuit 2 finds an error between the required injection amount and an actual injection amount and corrects the error, by operating solenoid valves 4a, 4b. The actual injection amount can be detected on the basis of the position of a fuel controller 108 which is detected by a detector 3. Simultaneously, an operation condition monitoring circuit 6 checks the detected value of the operation condition detector 1 and if it is abnormal, the circuit 6 closes a solenoid valve 7 to interrupt a fuel supply from a fuel supply pump 9 for the fuel controller 108.
