PURPOSE:To obtain the optimum fuel injection timing for external conditions and environment by computing target injection timing from a number of revolutions and fuel injection quantity and computing actual injection timing from injection timing and the number of revolutions, and by controlling injection timing according to a difference between the both timing. CONSTITUTION:A number of revolutions of an engine (as per diagram) and operating conditions such as engine load, etc. are detected by an operating condition detector 1 and its detection signal is added to an electric control circuit 2. Also, a control circuit 2 computes target injection timing from the detection signal, compares it with a signal from an actual injection timing detector 6 and drives a pressure control valve 3 according to an error. And oil pressure adjusted by the pressure control valve 3 drives an oil pressure actuator 4 and adjusts injection timing of an injection pump 5. By this, the optimum fuel injection timing can be obtained at all times.
