PURPOSE:To obtain a qualz oscillator which is high in its qualitg and low in its cost, by melting and vacuum-sealing both an end of a cylindrical glass case, and an end of a columnar glass stem obtained by sticking tightly 2 lead wires to whose tip the base part of a quartz oscillation bar has been junctioned. CONSTITUTION:Lead wires 16, 17 are formed on a columar glass stem 15. Subsequently, to the tips of these lead wires 16, 17, the base part of a quartz oscillation bar 5 is made to adhere tightly by use of a junction material. Subsequently, the end of a cylindrical glass case 19 is junctioned to the end of the glass stem 15. In this case, when setting the glass case 19 on the center of the glass stem 15, centering control is executed by a jig 20 of graphite, etc., having a guide hole contacting with the outside diameter of the glass stem and the outside diameter of the glass case.
