Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to handle many kinds of pictures with one set of video processing system, by providing a plurality of memory blocks, specific input data selector, output data selector, and address decoder. CONSTITUTION:An input data selector ISEL which changes the number of bits of input data inputted to a memory block with a plurality of memory blocks B0-B7 and a mode signal, and an output data selector OSEL which changes the number of bits of data outputted from the memory block with the mode signal, are provided. Further, an address decoder BAD which switches and outputs the upper rank bits of the address signal of the memory blocks B0-B7 to the memory block according to the mode signal, is provided. The number of memory blocks accessed at the same time is controlled by making effective or ineffective the upper rank bits of the address signal with the mode signal, and the number of bits of the input or output data is controlled.
