PURPOSE:To achieve recording of information with low power, by laminating the 1st layer having light absorption and the 2nd layer made of a material with lower melting point than that of the 1st layer, and recording information through the change in the shape of the 1st and 2nd layers irradiated at selective light irradiation. CONSTITUTION:The 1st layer 11 made of a material having light absorption with any melting or softening point, such as metallic film of Ti, Cr or Al and the 2nd layer 12 made of material such as Se, photoresist having low melting or softening point with any light absorption, are laminated on a base 10. When irradiated light according to recorded information is absorbed in the 1st layer 11 and the light radiation section is at high temperature, the 2nd layer under the heat section of the 1st layer 11 is locally melted or softened, and the layer is absorbed and aggregated at the circumference with surface tension to form a recess or a through-hole 13.
