Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain the humidity sensitive element characterized by quick response and easy manufacttre, by forming thin film metallic electrodes on both sides of hydrophilic macromolecular film by vacuum evaporation and supporting both sides thereof by hollow frame bodies. CONSTITUTION:The warer permeable, thin film, metallic electrodes 21 and 22 comprising gold and the like are formed on both sides of a thin hydrophilic nonconductive film 1 comprising the macromolecular film and the like by the vacuum evaporation. The ring shaped hollow frame bodies 31 and 32 comprising metal such as Al and brass are bonded to the surfaces of the thin film metal electrodes 21 and 22, respectively, by conductive bonding materials 41 and 42, so that they face to each other. lead wires 51 and 52 which take out electrostatic capacity between the thin film metallic electrodes 21 and 22, are provided on said hollow frame bodies 31 and 32. A hydrophobic material 6 is coated on the outer surface in order to prevent the infiltration of water.
