Abstract
PURPOSE:To assure the quality of a weld zone and to check the same surely bt setting a change of the voltage between electrode tips at which the good weld zone is obtainable with time as reference voltage and controlling welding current in such a way that the voltage between the tips is kept within this permissible range. CONSTITUTION:A circuit 5 detects the voltage Vd between electrode tips 2a, 2b momentarily except in the initial period of conduction of electricity. This is compared with the above-described reference voltage Vr changing with time from a circuit 7 in a circuit 6, and a differential signal Sd is emitted. On the other hand, the signal Sr of a circuit 9 is made into Sr' with a circuit 10, and a circuit 8 operates the firing phase angle of a circuit 11 with this and Sd, and a circuit 11 generates firing pulses by the signal S thereof, thereby controlling the primary AC waveform of a transformer 4. When voltage Vd Vr, Sr'=Sr and the circuit 11 is controlled of the firing phase angle in such a way as to flow reference welding current. The voltage V1 of an electric power source 3 and the voltage Vs from a circuit 14 are compared momentarily, and a differential signal Sf is fed to the circuit 10. The circuit 8 corrects the signal S by as much as the signal Sf so that the reference welding current value is prevented from fluctuating despite fluctuation of the voltage V1.
