Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable a positive keeping of locked condition by a method wherein any effect may not be applied to an extension or retraction of piston rod by a spring force when locked so long as a large force as damaging the component parts such as cylinder and the like may not be applied.
CONSTITUTION: A valve rod 7 is depressed down from outside and valves 8 and 9 are disengaged in respect to seals 13 and 15. Thereby, each of oil chambers A, B and C is communicated to each other, and a gas pressure in the gas chamber D is acted upon the oil liquid in the oil chambers A and B through the oil liquid in the oil chamber C. As a result, the force in an elongated direction is acted upon the assembly of a piston and a piston rod due to a difference in pressure recieving areas for gas pressure corresponding to the sectional area of the piston rod 3, and then the piston rod 3 is pushed out of the cylinder 1. In turn, when the valve rod 7 is pushed up to cause the valve means 8 and 9 to be fitted in respect to the seals 13 and 15, each of the oil chambers A, B and C is made to be a closed chamber to each other, resulting in that the gas pressure in the gas chamber D may not act against the oil chambers A and B.
