Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the stability of the engine stop function of an actuator by equipping a timer circuit and an electromagnetic valve which operates according to a safety circuit which is preventing the pressure drop in a vacuum tank. CONSTITUTION:An electromagnetic valve 13 with a relief port 13a to the atmosphere is installed at the tip piping 14 which connects a vacuum tank 15 and the pressure chamber 12a of the actuator 12 which operates to stop engine operation. Air is supplied to the actuator 12 for the period of time which is prescribed by a timer 21 to stop the engine. After the prescribed time is over, the air in the pressure chamber 12a is led to the atmosphere through an electromagnetic valve 13. The pressure in the vacuum tank 15 is kept at the prescribed pressure by the electromagnetic valve 13 through a pressure detecting switch 22. Thus the durability of the actuator 12 and the stability of the engine stop function can be improved.
