Abstract
PURPOSE:To achieve excellent matching with a feeder at two frequency bands, by connecting a coil and a capacitor in series with an antenna and connecting a series resonance circuit in parallel with an antenna output terminal. CONSTITUTION:A coil 12 is connected in series with a linear dipole antenna 11. The coil cancells a capacitive reactance at >=155MHz frequencies and improves the VSWR at 170-222MHz remarkably. A capacitor 13 is connected in series with the coil 12 to form a series resonance circuit to cancell an inductive reactance at 90-180MHz which is increased further and to compensate this inductive reactance. Further, a series resonance circuit consisting of a capacitor 15 and a coil 16 is connected in parallel with an output terminal 14. This circuit shows a desired capacitive reactance at 90-180MHz band and a very large inductive reactance at 170-222MHz. As a result, excellent impedance characteristics can be obtained at both of high and low frequecy bands.
