Abstract
PURPOSE:To control the engine revolution speed during the idling at the optimum level by stopping a step motor for the flow control when it reaches the lower limit step position from the average step position during the idling. CONSTITUTION:A step motor 9 which drives a flow control valve device 8 is connected to an electronic control unit 61 via a step motor drive circuit 60, the moving direction of the step motor 9 required to have the most desirable engine idling revolution speed being obtained in a MPU80 of said control unit 61 through the function of the prestored engine cooling water temperature or the automatic transmission range and of the engine idling revolution and the present engine revolution. The average step motor position during the idling is obtained therefrom and the step motor 9 is stopped when it reaches the lower limit step motor position which is several steps lower than the average position.
