Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the dimensional accuracy of sintered parts in liner calcining of moldings of parts consisting of sintered alloys by providing a precalcining stage of returning the moldings to ordinary temp. at the point of the time when shrinkage by calcination is not completed yet, inserting liners and again performing regular firing. CONSTITUTION:In production of sintered parts of alloys such as WC-Co type aoolys, TaC-Ni type alloys, stainless steel type or the like, these alloys are ground to 1.5mu average grain sizes, and are molded under 5t/cm<2> molding pressure with an oil hydraulic press. After the moldings are roasted in a hydrogen atmosphere, they are calcined in a vacuum, whereby presintered bodies 2 are made. Liners 4 are loaded in these bodies 4, and these are subjected to regular sintering in a vacuum to make finished blanks 3, thus the production of the sintered moldings of extremely small dimensional variances is made possible.
