Abstract
PURPOSE:To realize a restart in a short time, by making an effective use of the output of a watchdog timer in case of occurrence of runaway of a program due to a slight fault of a device. CONSTITUTION:A microprocessor reset signal (f) or an alarm signal is supplied (a) to the terminal B of a delay timer DLT. Th timer DLT has a rise in 200 milliseconds for example later than the rise time of an input pulse to obtain a pulse and then to produce a differentiated signal. In case the operation has a fault and the output (d) continues, a processor reset pulse is produced in 200 seconds after the rise for example. This reset pulse is fed back again to apply a restart.
