Abstract

PURPOSE:To eliminate the influence of a rotary eccentricity component, by exercising position control by adding pieces of tracking error information each sampled and held every time a disk turns by 180 degrees. CONSTITUTION:Output pulses from a frequency generator 21 fitted on the shaft of a spindle motor 7 which drives a disk 1 are sent to a frequency divider 22 to be divided into pulses which each correspond to one turn. The output of the frequency divider 22 is supplied to sample pulse generating circuits 25 and 26, and the outputs of sample holding circuts 19 and 20 are added by an adder 27 with a 180 deg.C phase difference, thereby extracting only a low frequency component removed completely from the 30Hz AC component in the output of a low-pass filter 11.
