CONSTITUTION: The output voltage of a detection coil 41 for a horizontal turning angle is processed through the power amplification of a horizontal-turning driving circuit 50 via an amplifier 48 to flow a driving current through series- connected coils 14 and 15, thus controlling horizontal turning. The output voltages of both magnetic effect elements 43 and 44 are processed through the operational amplification of a differential amplifier 51, and the resulting voltage is passed through a compensator 52 composed of a phase leading circuit which has a polygonal frequency, about 20W40% of an arm resonance frequency, and processed through the power amplification of a base driving circuit 53, thereby flowing a driving current to a motor 23. The driving force which corresponds to the turning angle of a tone arm is supplied to an arm base 16 by the motor 23, and the arm base 16 moves in a tracking direction together with the tone arm 4.
