Abstract
A drive circuit for a magnetic bubble device has a series circuit with first 32 and second 33 switches connected in parallel with a series circuit having third 34 and fourth 35 switches. The switches carry currents 37, 38, 39 and 40 respectively from a D.C. power source connected across the parallel circuit. A coil 31 is connected between the junction of the first 32 and second 33 switches and the junction of the third 34 and fourth 35 switches. The switches are controlled by a control circuit (not shown) which causes a current 41 with an alternating waveform to flow in the coil 31. The control circuit forms a region of the waveform, when the current passes through zero, which has zero gradient. This region prevents the build up of drive current in the coil which would cause a displacement in the magnetic fields in the bubble device, and hence unsatisfactory operation. <IMAGE>
