Abstract

PURPOSE:To make measurement of a wide range possible by providing a flow rate regulator in a cooling pipe in which cooling water for cooling a calorimeter receivig incidence and heat of neutral particles, and changing the flow rate of the cooling water according to the quantity of th incident heat. CONSTITUTION:An ion source 16 provided with a neutralizing cell 14 in the end part of a vacuum tank 12 is mounted, and the other end is connected to a nuclear fusion experiment device 18. A flow rate type calory operator is installed with an inlet side thermometer 24, an outlet side thermometer 26 and a flowmeter 28 to a cooling pipe 22 having a bellows 20 on the way. A calorimeter 32 is mounted to the pipe 22. A flow rate control valve 38 is provided in the part near the outlet part 36 of the pipe 22, and the flow rate is controlled with a control board 40. The measured temps. of the thermometer 24 and the thermometer 26 are inputted to the flow rate regulating control board 40, by which temp. differences are detected and the flow rate control valve 38 is regulated to control the flow rate of the cooling water.
